June 20, 2023 Board of County Commissioners Approve of the Re-zone Request
At the June 20, 2023 BCC hearing, Commissioner Mark Newcomb proposed a specific condition to apply to an approval of the request. The other Board members did not support the condition, but instead an vote for approval of the request, free of any commissioner-applied conditions, occurred. This vote overturned the denial that occurred on June 6.
June 6, 2023 Board of County Commissioners Vote for Denial, Later Scheduled for Reconsideration
At the June 6, 2023 BCC hearing, the Board voted to deny the re-zone request. However, at the next BCC meeting on June 12, 2023, Commissioner Mark Newcomb led a motion to reconsider the request. The request will be added to the June 20, 2023 hearing.
May 3, 2023 Board of County Commissioners Continue to June 6, 2023
At the May 3, 2023 BCC hearing, the requested re-zone heard a presentation from staff and the applicants, as well as public comment from interested parties. After discussion by the Commissioners, a motion was made for the project to be continued to the June 6 BCC hearing.
March 13, 2023 Planning Commission Recommends Denial
At the March 13, 2023 Planning Commission hearing, the requested re-zone was recommended for denial. The item will be heard on May 2, 2023 by the Board of County Commissioner's who will make a final determination.
