2023 Housing Mitigation Update

Project Summary

The Joint Long Range Planning team is currently working on reviewing and updating the housing mitigation requirements in both the Town and County LDRs (Div. 6.3). 

On April 11, 2022 the Town and County reviewed the Housing Nexus Study which informs the legal maximum amount of mitigation that could be required by the Town and County. The agenda for the JIM where this study was presented can be found here (PDF).

As a part of this 2023 update staff is working with a stakeholder group and will be reviewing policy items with the elected officials during a Joint Information Meeting on July 12th at 1:30 pm and again continuing on July 13th at 8:00 AM in the County Administration building (200 S. Willow St. Jackson).   Results of this meeting will help staff update the mitigation requirements which will be released for public review and will go through future public hearings (not yet scheduled).
