Housing Mitigation Reduction

Project Summary: The elected officials of Teton County and the Town of Jackson have directed Planning Staff to reduce the housing mitigation requirements for non-residential development. These housing mitigation requirements were established in 2018 as a result of the Engage 2017 process and 2013 Nexus Study. The new policy required significantly higher mitigation rates for non-residential uses than had previously existed for these uses. At the October 13 Joint Information Meeting, the joint boards directed staff to reduce the non-residential mitigation rates by 50%. The mitigation requirements and policy will be revisited following the completion of an updated Nexus Study.
